Some situations require immediate action. A person is in imminent suicide risk if she or he
- tells you they plan to end their life
- cannot guarantee their own safety
- is at risk and under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- tells you they have recently taken an overdose or made some other suicide gesture
Call the Employee Assistance Program at (800) 765-9124 to arrange a confidential appointment with an EAP specialist.
Call 55555 on campus, or use one of the blue emergency lights. Call 911 if you are off campus.

Take the person directly to the emergency room at the Barnes Jewish Hospital at 216 S. Kingshighway or St. Mary’s Health Center at 6430 Clayton Rd.
