Some situations require immediate action. A person is in imminent suicide risk if she or he
- tells you they plan to end their life
- cannot guarantee their own safety
- is at risk and under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- tells you they have recently taken an overdose or made some other suicide gesture

For after hours emergencies, call Campus police at (314) 516-5155 or Life Crisis Services (314) 647-4357. Or call 911 to reach the St. Louis County Police Department.

Take the person directly to the Barnes-Jewish Hopsital at 1 Barnes-Jewish Hospital Plaza, SSM DePaul Health Center at 12303 DePaul Drive, Metropolitan St. Louis Psychiatric Center at 5351 Delmar Blvd, St. Anthony's Medical Center at 10010 Kennerly Road, or St. John's Mercy Medical Center at 615 S. New Ballas Road.
